Story: Vasudev (Nasser) is a corrupted politician, who is the CM of a state, He makes his son Varun (Vijay Deverakonda) temporary CM on the advice of a Swami Ji, Varun is a jolly guy, happy go lucky, He has no idea of how to run the Govt and He just waits for his father to take back the responsibilities. Rest of the story is as to how Varun fights his father and what changes does the reckless rowdy CM forms the story.
Performances: Vijay Deverakonda as young CM and reckless youth is looking superb, His energetic and rebellious in two different shades of his roles. His style, expressions, dialogue delivery are Impressive. Mehreen Pirzada has never played a role, she plays a serious journalist role in the movie. She gave her best for the role. Nasser is good as corrupted Chief Minister. Satya Raj is apt as Vijay Devarakonda’s moral support role. Director AR Murugados surprises in a cameo role. The movie features other actors Yashika Aannand, M S Bhaskar, Priyadarshi and Sanchana others are good in their given roles.
Technical Aspects: The movie music composed by Sam CS songs are just okay but background score elevates scenes superbly and sync with throughout the film. The movie Cinematography by Santhana Krishnan captures the political scenes in a realistic manner. The movie production values by K.E. Gnanavel Raja under Studio Green are grand. The movie directed by Anand Shankar, come up with the different plot he could not execute the story well. The Political Drama movie is not as gripping as expected.
- Vijay Devarakonda Performance
- Some serious political scenes
- Predictable screenplay
- Lack of entertainment
- Tamil Flavor
- Lengthy Run Time
Verdict: All in all NOTA is a complete political Thriller. The movie storyline and Vijay Deverakonda’s characterization might have excited but the movie is not at all gripping as expected in the second half. This movie has a lot of Tamil nativity and it makes Telugu audience bit disappointed with no entertainment and other commercial elements and Vijay Deverakonda shines in a couple of scenes.
