Mr. Majnu Movie Review: Young Hero Akkineni Akihl’s Third film Mr.Majnu Hit the theatres today in Grand Manner. Right from its first look to recently released trailer garnered good buzz among the social media. Mr. Majnu has enough entertainment, Romance and drama to fetch the Commercial hit for Akhil. Let’s see how it works.

Story: Vicky aka Vikram Krishna (Akhil) is a flirt who is introduced in London, Nikki (Niddhi Aggarwal) comes across him Coincidentally, Nikky sister’s marriage is fixed with Vikky’s brother and they have actually come to attend the wedding when both travel to India, she realizes Vicky’s true side and proposes to him Vicky is not comfortable with serious relationships but Nikki insists him to be in relationship for two months But then Vikky feels frustrated with her Possessiveness and controlling attitude, that leads to break-up and Nikki leaves to the UK. Later Vicky starts to feel some emptiness and decides to win his love back. But did she accept him back? Rest of the story is how he convinces Nikki and wins her back.
Performances: Akhil Akkineni has come up with a very good performance as Vicky role. He is excellent in action sequences and danced super energetically. His charming screen presence and Body language are impressive. Nidhi Agarwal is good looking in Nikki role, Performed well and her chemistry with Akhil is interesting, Young comedians Priya darshi and Vidyullekha Raman generates a few laughs. Jabardasth fame Hyper Aadhi as piracy pullarao generates good laughs in the second half. All the senior actors like Nagababu, Sitara, and Rao Ramesh Subba Raju and Jaya Prakash have done a good job in their given roles.

Technical Aspects: The movie Music composed by SS Thaman, The Songs is impressive and the Background score in sync with the movie. Cinematographer George C. Williams is well and he has captured the scenes beautifully and the Action sequences are nicely executed, the movie production values of SVCC are Rich. The Movie director Venky Atluri who delivered a hit with Tholiprema is back again with Mr Majnu. The story of Mr. Majnu is simple and Predictable but he executes the movie very well which is filled with a lot of emotional and heart touching dialogues. Even though the movie screenplay could have been better the second half feels dragged.

Plus Points:

  • Akhil’s Performance
  • First Half
  • Music

Minus Points:

  • Dragged Second Half
  • Predictable Story
  • No emotional connect

Verdict: All in all, Mr Majnu is a youthful romantic entertainer movie with good emotional scenes and impressive dialogues. The movie First half is entertaining and impressive, but the second half takes the routine way like many love stories. The comic bits work to an extent and the movie plot shows its effect in the second half which feels Dragged and lengthy. Despite the clichés the movie decent one time watchable for this weekend.
