Lakshmi’s NTR Review: Sensational director Ram Gopal Varma’s Lakshmi’s NTR most talked film in recent times in Tollywood, The movie has finally hit the Screens amidst lot of controversies. Now, let’s see the review of Lakshmi’s NTR.
Story: The movie starts after TDP’s Defeat in 1989 Elections. NTR (Vijay Kumar) was alone neglected by family and friends after the defeat, at this time, Lakshmi Parvathi (Pragna Shetty) meets NTR (Vijay Kumar) to write his biography, she gets closer to NTR in his loneliness and NTR likes Lakshmi Parvathi for her caring nature and decides to marry her. When NTR informs the same to his family, they won’t accept it. Though they object it, NTR marries Lakshmi Parvathi, Taking this as an advantage, how Chandrababu Naidu (Sri Tej) backstabbed NTR and steals the CM chair, how NTR died forms the rest of the story.
Performances: The movie Lakshmi’s NTR features a bunch of new artists P Vijay Kumar who plays the role of NT Rama Rao and He has delivered a good performance, his dialogue delivery and mannerisms impressive. Sri Tej who reprises CBN does a fantastic job to look and sound credible. His menacing expressions and body language are highlights of his performance. Kannada actress Yagna Shetty as Lakshmi Parvathi did her best and delivers a sincere performance. The rest of the characters Performed accordingly in their given roles.
Analysis: The film offers nothing new and Most of the people have already heard about NTR the entire movie focuses on three popular characters- NTR, Lakshmi Parvati and Chandrababu Naidu. The movie first half is a bit boring as it is filled with conversations between NTR and Lakshmi Parvati and the story runs slow and the second half entire movie completely focused on NTR’s political life and the director forecast Lakshmi Parvathi as an honest and a very good human being. Music director Kalyani Mallick’s Songs are Okay and his quite impressive with the BGM and the background score lifts scenes well. The cinematography has a trademark Ram Gopal Varma feel to it. The movie Production values are decent and the other technical aspects have been handled well. Controversial director Ram Gopal Varma has taken an exciting script narrating the life of NTR after the entry of Lakshmi Parvathy and He has succeeded to touch some most sensitive and controversial incidents in NTR’s life. The dialogues are good.
Verdict: All in all Lakshmi’s NTR is one more controversial film from director Ram Gopal Varma. The movie is only the other side of NTR from the perspective of Lakshmi Parvathi. In the movie, Lakshmi Parvathi is shown as a perfect human being and a victim, whereas Chandrababu and NTR’s family members are shown in bad light. The movie may appeal for the section of the audience who extreme haters of Chandra Babu may watch the film and RGV has made a decent movie after a long time.
