Dev Movie Review: Successful movie Khakee’ pair Karthi and Rakul Preet’s Dev movie released today in the grand manner on the occasion of Valentine’s Day , The movie teaser and recently released action packed trailer has received a good buzz among the social media. Let’s see the movie review.
Story: Dev (Karthi), son of a rich businessman (Prakash Raj) He leads happy life on his own terms and One day, he sees Meghna (Rakul Preet Singh) on Facebook and
Performances: Hero Karthi looks stylish in dev Ramalinga role and performed well in his role. Rakul suits the meghana role and her chemistry with Karthi is impressive. Once again Prakash Raj has delivered good performance and Ramya Krishna also delivered a stunning performance in rakul’s mother role. Nikki Galrani’s cameo is okay and Rest of the star cast RJ Vigneshkanth , Vamsi Krishna , Renuka and others performed accordingly in their given roles.
Technical Aspects: The movie Music by Harris Jayaraj and the songs is decent, but his Background score is good. R Velraj’s cinematography is colorful and he captured some exotic locales. The movie production values by S Laxman Kumar under Prince Pictures are Grand, Editing is okay and the movie runtime is crisp. The movie debutant director Rajath Ravi Shankar comes up with new age storyline and he has narrated it in a decent way. But the movie screenplay could have been better it’s become predictable and the film doesn’t engage the viewers.
- Karthi’s Performance
- Predictable Story
- No emotional connect
- Boring Narration
Verdict: All in all, Dev is a simple romantic entertainer with tedious narration. The movie first half introduces the behavior of the lead characters, Visuals and adventurous backdrop is well and the movie main story runs flat narration in the second half , there is no twists and predictable. All those who like to see Karthi can give this film a shot. But others can stay away from this one.
